Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

All items are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. For best results, handwashing is recommended. When washing and stacking ceramic ware, take care to avoid striking the edges onto other hard items. Avoid subjecting ware to immediate temperature changes. e.g., placing a very hot item in a cold environment.

Materials and process

Each item is made in small batches by me using food-safe glazes and a range of clays. Each item is fired twice in a kiln to temperatures ranging from 2167 to 2264 degrees Fahrenheit. All items are individually wheelthrown or handbuilt; as a result, slight variations in form, color, texture, and dimensions are to be expected and are not considered flaws.

If you are purchasing a made-to-order item, the piece you receive will generally have the same size, shape, and glazes as the one depicted in the listing. The ware in the photos is a close example of what you will receive.

Returns and exchanges

I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! Exchanges are accepted if you contact me within 7 business days of item delivery. Exchanges or refunds for custom work are offered only in the case of goods damaged in shipping. Buyers are responsible for the safe return of work and for the cost of return shipping and tracking.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items are wrapped and ready for gift-giving. I include a notecard with every order. If you are purchasing this item as a gift, feel free to provide me with a message you'd like me to write to the recipient on your behalf in the 'message to seller' comment box as you check out.

Shipping methods

US orders are shipped via USPS Priority shipping, which will arrive in 2-3 business days. This method includes up to $50 insurance and a tracking number.

International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International. This does not include a tracking number or insurance. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
